Leicester Fans To Be United In Tokyo….Sort Of!!

Got my ticket last week to see Kasabian on January 12th in Tokyo. Will be the second time I’ve seen them live as my first time was at Summer Sonic 2005 on the back of their eponymous debut album.

I’m looking forward to seeing them perform the latest ‘Empire‘ album tracks early next year and also with a sense of pride as I doubt there will be too many other people there from our home city of Leicester. The two main men Serge and Tom are also big Leicester City fans. All the band are from Leicester but for some reason one of the band supports Leeds United. “Its like having a transvestite in the family – you can deal with it, but its wierd” was the classic quote from guitarist Serge on ‘Soccer AM’ on that matter.

Watching their recent gig on-line as part of the BBC’s Electric Proms has really whetted my appetite and hopefully this won’t be anywhere near as disappointing as the recent form of our team which has seen us collect only one point from the last five games and we are again languishing at the wrong end of the league.
