Many of the parks and children’s playgrounds in Japan, particularly in Tokyo, are quite poor compared to other countries in terms of space, surroundings and a lack of grass. However, a handful of them do tend to possess extremely creative structures and they will be explored in this series.
Nickname: The Elephant Slide
Location: Akagishitamachi 21, Shinjuku-ku
Nearest Station(s):
Kagurazaka (3 minutes on foot) on the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line.
Disclaimer: Playgrounds are of course intended as fun and safe places for children to enjoy themselves so Tokyo Fox can not stress enough the importance of being considerate and cautious in such places.

Love this one, they always come up with the coolest ideas for playgrounds 🐘
They sure do and there are many more (far better) ones to come in this series!
Can’t wait for the next ones to come. I remember a cool dinosaur park 区立子供の森公園 near Shinagawa fire station. Maybe if you’re close by have a look,
Vanessa
yeah I’ve been to that one. Got about a dozen other ones already lined up to post on here periodically as kind of “filler”
I like the fillers then…
