This film, which is now over 50 years old, starts off with the fabulous four being pursued by fans at Lime Street Station in Liverpoool…except for the fact that it was actually shot at London’s Marylebone Station; a station which has featured on screen many times over the years with it’s most recent appearance in ‘Paddington‘ (2014).
Paul’s grandfather John McCartney goes gambling on 20 minutes at Les Ambassadeurs Casino which is a five minute walk away from Hyde Park Corner Underground station on the Piccadilly Line.
The address is 5 Hamilton Place and a couple of years earlier it was the setting for an iconic moment in the original 007 movie ‘Dr No‘ (1962). It was there (albeit in a studio re-creation) that Sean Connery first spoke the immortal line “The name’s Bond……James Bond”
Charlotte Mews is the alleyway from which the fab four emerge as they run to the TV concert on 70 minutes. It is just a couple of minutes walk from Goodge Steet Underground station on the Northern Line.
Sadly, the Scala Theatre over the road which they ran into to do their TV concert was knocked down way back in 1969. It used to be on Tottenham Street and is now a block of flats aptly known as Scala House.

Cool. Good finds.
I have not yet seen Paddington. People say I should but I dunno.
Really? I consider this post to be “filler”!! You should see paddington but I understand that it can be a little weird for an adult to see such films
I like the Beatles and I like James Bond so it was interesting to me.
