TF Top 10……Tokyo Fox Hits of 2025

So 2026 has only just begun and already Tokyo Fox is looking back!! There used to be exactly ten new posts on here each and every month for over a decade but in the last couple of years it’s been reduced a bit for a variety of reasons. As there were 24 posts less than usual it has been decided to just show the ten from 2025 which got the most hits … excluding compilation posts! Of course, those entries from earlier in the year had more time to accumulate hits so don’t read too much into it all as it’s basically just another filler post to kick start the new year! Let’s start this top 10 compilation post at number 11!!

11. Celebrate the chaos & clutter at this outdoor museum just outside of Tokyo – I’ve not seen anything about this place anywhere else online but it’s not as if I’ve ever bothered searching for it! I guess not though as that’s why it’s rated fairly well on the site since being published. More details here

10. This year’s “May The 4th Be with You” festivities in Tokyo were the best yet! – There’s usually a fair amount of interest internationally about what Star Wars events are going on in Japan so it’s no surprise to see this included in the top ten. More details here

9. Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 Day 1: Ryan Gosling & Sigourney Weaver up close, animation & 90s panels, cuteness overload, cosplayers & meeting a fan favourite – It was the law of diminishing returns for my three daily posts from this major international event. This first one was released immediately after it all finished and thus capitalised the most on the immediate hysteria in the aftermath of the event. More details here

8. The world’s largest bronze statue really is impressive in both size & wonder – One from my trip to Fukuoka in the summer of 2024 which didn’t see the light of day until this year. Given that it had been covered by various other outlets a fair bit, it is a surprise to see my account of it have something of an impact. More details here

7. A great atmosphere for my 1st time inside Japan’s newest topflight stadium – Sports-related posts generally don’t fare so well on the stats front so it’s a big surprise to see this one included. Maybe it’s near the top of the search engines in English for international visitors hoping to see a match at Japan’s newest topflight stadium. More details here

6. The popularity of Star Wars pop-up shops popping up in Tokyo continues but why?! – Star Wars posts have traditionally rated well on my site which is just as well as I like to write about what’s happening in Japan regarding the franchise. There were about half a dozen Star Wars pop-up stores last year which is very much a Japanese thing it seems. More details here

5. Golden statue hunting in a low mountain valley not so far from Tokyo! – Perhaps the biggest surprise entry in the top ten as this rarely is a deep sight which I really didn’t think would be of interest to too many readers and susbscribers. More details here

4. I hopped on over to the outskirts of the city to visit a frog temple – Another one from my Kyushu trip in 2024 which didn’t get written about till this year. It must’ve been a ribbet-ing read for the many that clicked on it! Or maybe the thumbnail pose (a p*ss-take on what YouTubers do) did actually work in bringing more attention to the post! More details here

3. Kylie Minogue performs live in Japan for the 1st time in 14 Years & I was there for it! – The pop princess returned to Japan for just one show on the critically acclaimed Tension Tour and that proved to be my first ever pop concert. It really was a fantastic show and performance from the Australian icon. More details here

2. Junk or treasure? The ever-growing retro collection at this outdoor museum in Tokyo – The most local of places for me and one that I’ve been able to watch grow and grow over the last couple of years. It really is quite the spectacle now, especially at nighttime when it’s all lit up. I’m yet to see anyone else feature this but maybe that’s because I don’t watch too many Tokyo-based YouTubers these days! More details here

1. Is the Avatar Robot Cafe just a gimmick or actually worth a visit?  – Pretty much every place I go to in Japan is planned in advance but this one was spontaneous and decided that afternoon. I hadn’t even heard of it but my friends visiting from Australia had and I was more than happy to go along and see what this unique cafe was all about! More details here
